Twenty four women were appointed to boards in June09 as reported on NewsonWomen.com, a significant improvement over the June08 total of 8. Major companies appointing women to boards in June included Bank of America, Goodrich, Navistar and FedEx. While the second quarter registered a slowdown, the six month total of 128 appointments showed an increase over the 2008 six month level of 117 appointments.
