Government Jobs for Women Nominated by Obama

President Obama intends to nominate Elizabeth Littlefield (pictured left) to be President of the Overseas Private Investment Corporation. Elizabeth  is currently a Director of the World Bank and the CEO of the Consultative Group to Assist the Poor (CGAP). See White house press release 11/19.

President Obama intends to nominate Kathleen S. Tighe to be Inspector General, Department of Education. Kathleen, who holds an  MA in International Relations from American University, and a JD from George Washington University, is currently the Deputy Inspector General at the U.S. Department of Agriculture. President Obama intends to nominate Sharon Y. Bowen (pictured left) to be Vice-Chair, Board of Directors of the Securities Investor Protection Corporation. Sharon, who holds a JD and MBA from Northwestern University, is a Corporate Partner in the New York office of Latham & Watkins LLP. See White House press release 11/20.

President Barack Obama intends to nominate Maria Sally Matiella to be Assistant Secretary of the Army for Financial Management, Department of Defense. Maria, who holds an MBA from the University of Arizona, had previously been Assistant Chief Financial Officer for Accounting at the Department of Housing and Urban Development. President Obama intends to nominate Dana Perino to be a Member of the Broadcasting Board of Governors. Dana is the Chief Issues Counselor for the United States at Burson-Marsteller and is a Fox News Contributor. See White House press release 11/18.

President Obama intends to nominate Susan McCue to be a Member of the Broadcasting Board of Governors. Susan is President of Message Global. See White House press release 11/18.

President Obama intends to nominate Nicole Y. Lamb-Hale to be Assistant Secretary of Commerce (Manufacturing and Services), Department of Commerce. Nicole, who holds a JD from Harvard Law School, is Deputy General Counsel of the Department of Commerce. See White House press release 11/17.
