NewsonWomen.com Wins "Blog of the Year" at the Stevie Awards for Women in Business

NewsonWomen.com won the Stevie Award for "Blog of the Year" last night at the Stevie Awards for Women in Business held in New York! It was a sellout crowd hosted by Fox Business Network Anchor Cheryl Casone. Cheryl tells us why she hosts the event: “The Women in Business Awards is my favorite event to emcee every year.  The women that I’ve met have been inspirational examples of what we can do when we believe in ourselves and have a purpose to our work.  I will never forget the woman who went from living in her car to successful entrepreneur, or the Japanese hat company designer who only began making hats because her mother lost her hair from cancer and needed warmth.  You don’t meet these types of women every day, and to share in the chance to honor them is the best part of the Stevie’s”. 

Other companies winning awards included The Bioengineering Group for Fastest Growing Company, Michael C. Fina for Employer of the Year, and StilletoChick.com for the Women helping Women Award. I will add more when the press releases are out, but I couldn't wait to tell you I won! As Margaret Manning, CEO of Reading Room who came to the event from London, said in a clear voice from the stage - "Go Us!!".
