16 Women Appointed to Board of Director Seats in November 2011, but December Starts Out Strong with 5 Appointments

Only 16 women were appointed to Board of Director seats in November 2011, down from the 27 appointed in October 2011. This returns us to the unhappy levels of November 2010. The drop in appointments may just be a breather since 5 appointments have already been made in the first 2 days of December. Major companies appointing women to Boards in November included Campbell Soup, who appointed Tracey Travis (pictured), Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Ralph Lauren Corporation to its Board; and companies like Yum! Brands, Horizon Lines, Ralph Lauren, and Moody's. I'm still looking for a strong finish to 2011.
