Board Appointments for Women Running over 40% Ahead of Last Year!

Denita Willoughby40 women were appointed to Boards in March 2012 and reported on NewsonWomen, a record number of appointments and over 40% higher than March of last year. This continues our trend of seeing an improvement in the number of appointments of women to Boards in 2012. 2012 is also ahead over 40% for the first quarter! Major companies appointing women to its Boards this month included Hertz Global Holdings, Guardian Life Insurance Company, Pinnacle Entertainment, Citi, Diamond Foods, CNO Financial Group, and Trinity Industries. What's interesting about this month as well is the number of women appointed to Boards of newer companies like Pinkberry, Virtual Piggy, PromoJam, InvestLab, and WikiLoan Inc, who appointed Denita Willoughby (pictured) its Chief Executive Officer and a Member of their Board of Directors.
