As part of my reporting on History Makers in honor of Women's History Month, today my featured woman is Melinda Gates. I believe Melinda is not only making history with the groundbreaking ways of the Gates Foundation, but changing history as the Foundation works to save lives. As Co-Chair of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Melinda "approves foundation strategies, reviews results, and advocates for the foundation’s issues" along with the other co-chairs. Melinda, who holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science and economics as well as an MBA from Duke University, focuses on problems like extreme poverty and poor health in developing countries, and ways to improve America’s education system. Read more about the foundation.
