Care.com, founded by Sheila Lirio Marcelo, raised $50 million in funding.

Sheila Lirio MarceloCare.com, the online care destination that connects families with millions of caregivers which was founded by Sheila Lirio Marcelo in 2006, raised $50 million in funding led by Institutional Venture Partners. Before starting Care.com, Sheila had been VP, Product Management and Marketing at Upromise.com which helps families save for college, and VP and General Manager of TheLadders.com, an executive job search engine.
