The List of Women Entrepreneurs raising venture capital continues to grow with almost $600 million raised by women founders and women ceo's so far this year. Women corporate executives have not fared as well with only about 40 big corporate jobs given to women in July 2012, continuing a downward trend. Companies appointing women to big jobs in July included Tapjoy, the mobile advertising and publishing platform, which appointed Claire Hough (pictured) Senior Vice President of Engineering. Claire, who had been Chief Technology Officer for Citrus Lane which she co-founded in 2011, and before that had been an engineering executive at Nextag, Napster and Netscape, is just one example of the many talented women in the workforce featured on Newsonwomen. Another engineer making it big this month is Google exec Marissa Mayer, made President and CEO of Yahoo! Other companies appointing women to big jobs in July were Dunkin' Brands, PwC, Shopko, Procter & Gamble, Alcoa, AOL, Harris Corp, Carribou Coffee, Occidental Petroleum, Estee Lauder, NASA, Kraft Foods, and Petsmart.
